In this role you will be the focal point for metering and measurement issues related to allocation processes. Primary technical resource with regard to fiscal metering and associated external audits. Expected to be aware of all allocation agreements and philosophies, and to advise on and enable any changes or amendments to those agreements. Must have an understanding of pipeline and terminal allocation and be capable of creating monitoring solutions.

Provide day to day metering engineering support to offshore production operations. Give technical support for metering equipment (both fiscal and technical) to maximise availability, reliability and minimise operating cost.
Liaise with the maintenance teams and the measurement and allocation service provider.
Monitor performance of offshore metering stations. Co-ordinate compliance activities with respect to fiscal metering. Generate and submit reports to regulatory authorities and partners.
Monitor terminal allocations and report anomalies.
Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner to comply with statutory and company requirements.
Manage delivery of short-term operational solutions and undertake operational investigations, as required. Provide input into strategic studies to optimise metering over Life of Field.

Organise and co-ordinate necessary repairs and maintenance to metering equipment and design modification implementation control, following procedures.
Provide input into tenders and monitoring of contracts, budgets and budgetary control.
The position would be required to coordinate subcontractor activity.
Stand in for Hydrocarbon Accounting Team Leader when necessary

The ideal candidate will have a professional qualification (or equivalent experience) in a related engineering capacity, and will have relevant industry experience - particularly within the Oil and Gas field. You will be able to formulate, amend, develop and maintain Hydrocarbon Accounting procedures. You will have experience of metering and measurement, and have knowledge of hydrocarbon allocation systems, and audit metering systems.
Offshore/overseas travel may on occasion be required in this role.
