The job:
This role provides a focal point for the Structural and Naval Architecture Engineering discipline and acts as Technical Authority within the Company IIM Function Team and the IIM Operations Teams. You will take ownership of the development and maintenance of Structural and Naval Architecture Engineering processes, procedures and guidance in support of the IIM Function Manager.
You'll also define competency requirements for the Structural and Naval Architecture Engineering discipline and assist in the competency assessment and training requirements of all personnel within IIM.
The duties:
Your role involves Technical ability as the technical lead for the discipline; Training and Competency developing competency requirements and assessment activity; Business Development by providing discipline input into tenders, proposals and CTRs; Innovation by maintaining personal and company expertise and cascading innovation; Communications by ensuring information flow to team members, other departments and Operations Managers
Your Qualifications:
You'll have a Masters Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent.
Your Experience:
You will have extensive experience in corrosion engineering arena and in inspection/ integrity.
You'll have knowledge of oil and gas component failure mechanisms and repair options.
Added to this you will have management training, strong communications skills, be a team player with balanced viewpoint. You will have the ability to liaise confidently with clients at Asset management level and an understanding of asset business drivers with regard to Integrity
IT:
You will have a familiarity with ACET or other databases and other discipline specific software
