New job opening for a Registered Mental Nurse Hospital Manager to work with one of the UK’s leading care provider. As a Hospital Manager you will be working in mental health unit based in Wraxall area.

Job Title: Hospital Manager
Location: Wraxall
Working Arrangements: Hours of work 37.5 per week excluding on call
Salary: up to £50'000
Reports to: Operations Director
Accountable to: Regional Director

Overall Objective:
To be responsible for the overall management of the hospital and its resources and budgets and to ensure compliance with the regulatory framework. This will be achieved by ensuring the highest quality of service is provided for the patients through their care planning process and that staff are encouraged and supported to achieve their full potential.

•To develop and maintain pro-active working relationships with CQC
•To ensure compliance with Regulations and guidelines including the Mental Health act
•To ensure statutory reports are submitted within required timescales


•To ensure that all staff under your supervision have the right leadership, effective and efficient organization, support, and training and preparation to carry out their work effectively.
•the way that they work on a daily basis and that they make the difference count
•To develop and maintain contact with potential patient referrals to maximize occupancy
•To ensure that all staff under your supervision contribute to providing a safe, well structured environment in which patients are treated respectfully, decently and holistically
•To respect the confidences of patients, except where to do so would result in harm to a patient, damage to the organization or result in a criminal offence being committed
•To ensure the appropriate service Level agreements and contracts are in place to provide an effective and quality service
•To establish and participate in an effective on call rota.
•To manage staff numbers within agreed budget and ensure the skills and competence are available to deliver effective treatment and maintain a safe environment.
•To ensure all visitors to the site have the appropriate authority and supervision.
•To be responsible for the management of the annual budget of the hospital under the supervision of the Operations Manager
•ensure clinical objectives are achieved.
•To ensure the provisions of the Mental Health Act are adhered to


•To ensure that appropriate interventions are planned for patients in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team and to demonstrate evidence of multi disciplinary assessment of need and risk coupled with evidence of risk and care planning
•To ensure the delivery of agreed performance indicators in relation to clinical outcomes, clinical efficiency and service line reporting.
•To actively participate in appropriate clinical meetings.
•To ensure a high standard of patient care and treatment at all times, in accordance with best practice guidelines and the relevant legal frameworks
•To ensure the implementation of agreed care plans, treatment plans and risk assessments in liaison with the Responsible Clinician
•To have overall responsibility for all clinical audit including accident and incident, ensuring results are fed back to all departments and individuals to ensure best practice.
•To monitor and report unmet needs or increases in dependency within the patient population and put in place measures to address those needs

To be considered for this you must be qualified as Registered Mental Nurse RMN and have experience in senior role.
