Our client is a leading provider of Teleradiology diagnostic imaging and managed Ultrasound services, working in partnership with the NHS and supporting the delivery of NHS plans and targets.
The objective of our client is to deliver ‘Additional Capacity’ to the National Health Service by accelerating the provision of long term capacity, rationalisation of the healthcare delivery system and embracing more innovative ways of service delivery.
Our client is strategically positioned to embark on a long term collaboration and commitment to the NHS and has considerable resources at it’s disposal. This includes Healthcare Consultants, Doctors and other clinical support staff together with infrastructure support including IT support and state of the art diagnostic facilities.
Summary
This post would be responsible for developing and monitoring the infrastructure and processes to support our clients’ assurance policy. Ensuring that our client is compliant with all regulations with the ability to identify shortfalls at an early stage. The post holder would require a thorough understanding of the principles and processes of the healthcare industry. The post holder will maintain, monitor and update our clients’ quality management system as well as overseeing the internal audit and reviews whilst working alongside relevant specialists. The Quality and Risk Manager will also be responsible for organising discrepancy meetings, answering queries from Radiologists and managing the in-house Audit team.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Quality and Risk Manager Responsibilities:
Continuous maintenance, monitoring and updating of the organisation’s Quality Management System (QMS). Ensuring the QMS fulfils the requirements of ISO9001:2000, ISAS and subsequent updates for continued compliance.
- Continuous maintenance, monitoring and updating of the organisation’s ISAS accreditation and subsequent updates for continued compliance.
- Conduct and oversee internal audits and reviews, work with the relevant specialists. Assisting / directing these areas as appropriate to address specific issues to ensure compliance with department protocols / procedures and where necessary communicating issues to the organisation’s Clinical Governance Committee.
- Continuous maintenance of the Complaints registers, Investigate and resolves all complaints.
- Continuous maintenance of the Risk Register.
- Create, monitor and implement all quality policies and procedures.
- Monitor training throughout the organisation to ensure compliance with all legislation regarding quality and Clinical governance
Person Specification:
Education:
- Educated to Post Grad Level in any clinical background. The role may suit a Radiographer, Sonographer or nurse.
Focus:
- Ensure the company is compliant with all regulations
- Ability to identify shortfalls at an early stage
- Be able to action any plans to amend issues that may arise
- Assure that the highest Quality is maintained at all times
Experience:
- Quality Management System experience
- Experienced in Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
- Experienced in Clinical Audit, Clinical Governance
