Overall purpose of the post
Working with the senior management team and the nursery manager, you will be responsible for providing professional leadership and management of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum to secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improved standards of learning and achievement for all children.
You will report to:
Nursery Manager and Group Manager of Parklands Group.

Flexible working 20 hours a week, to meet the needs of the nursery and its children.
Specific duties
Leading the planning, teaching, learning of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum
to ensure the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is of a high
standard.
Modelling effective planning and teaching of the Early Years Foundation Stage
curriculum to others.
Supporting Early Years Foundation Stage nursery colleagues in their teaching practice.
Monitoring colleagues and giving constructive feedback.
Planning for and leading the assessment of children in the Early Years Foundation
Stage, through effective implementation and monitoring of the tracker system.
Having an overview of the achievement of all children across the Early Years Foundation
Stage.
Ensuring the successful transition between the Early Years Foundation Stage and KS1
Assisting the nursery manager in analysing the Foundation Stage tracker scores across all age ranges
Working with the Early Years Team to ensure that all children’s needs are met in the Early Years
Working with the nursery manager to plan for the effective use and deployment of resources
in the Early Years Foundation Stage, including development of the physical environment,
particularly that of the outdoor learning areas
Teaching and Learning duties to:
Undertake teaching duties for children within a year group.
Contribute towards and co-ordinate development within the nursery.
Ensure a broad, balanced and meaningful curriculum is maintained based upon an activity based approach which puts children at the centre of their learning.
Share with other members of staff, information gained from In-Service training.
Maintain in all teaching groups a standard of behaviour and discipline consistent with the successful delivery of the teaching programme.
Prepare, deliver, assess, display and record work for all children appropriate to their current educational programmes and in accordance with school policy.
Promote the academic progress through such personal guidance, parental involvement and professional consultation as may be necessary having regard to the needs and abilities of each child.
Record children's attainments and provide reports in the form and at intervals required by the nursery and within requirements.
