Our Client requires a Quantity Surveyor for a fixed Term 3 month contract in the rail industry in the Track Renewals Division.
Hours of work: Full time, 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Location: Mansfield, Notts.
Salary: Up to £35000 (pro rata) plus £4915 per annum (pro rata) car allowance
The ideal candidate should have a minimum HNC/ HND in an appropriate engineering discipline for the rail environment or equivalent rail experience..
OVERALL PURPOSE
Work as part of the commercial team to ensure provision of a professional Quantity Surveying service.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Provide information to measure the financial and physical performance of projects against targets.
2. Ensure best utilisation of resources to maximise profitability of the project / contract.
3. Provide relevant information for preparation of reports/ claims to agreed timescales.
4. Assist in preparation of estimates for bids.
5. Prepare and submit change control and monitor using a tracker.
6. Preparation and submit where applicable applications for payment. Awareness of debtor days.
7. Keep all relevant records updated on IFS (e.g. payment certificates, retention, contract docs etc.).
8. Produce and input all information relevant to the CVR in conjunction with the SQS / SPM
