A leading Waste Management organisations is currently recruiting a Commercial Client Manager to join the EfW Division in the North East. Reporting to the Head of the Division, the Commercial Client Manager will be responsible for managing clients and the commercial aspects of the company's operational Energy from Waste (EFW) facilities. Working closely with Plant Managers, the Commercial Client Manager and the Head of the Division, the role involves developing and promoting both excellent client relationships and high levels of service. You will also be working closely with the other members of the Energy and wider Processing team, ensuring that capacity is fully utilised and waste flows are effectively managed. Additionally, you will be required to contribute to the delivery of external regulatory obligations, compliance as well as seeking out and generating additional revenues from internal and external waste streams.
Key responsibilities
- Working closely with high-profile team members and ensuring the company's Energy from Waste (EFW) facilities are operating to a commercially viable and profitable standard.
- Understanding of all customers, managing expectations with reference to EFW and Energy, building long term relationships with major clients and promoting the company brand as a leader in Waste Management.
- You will also liaise with the procurement and technical teams ensuring all operational and Capital expenditure are in line with contractual and budgetary requirements.All applicants must be educated to degree level and be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing the commercial and operational aspects of large complex business or contracts, within the Waste Management industry. Working as part of a diverse team, the successful candidate must have excellent financial understanding with experience of managing P&L. Experience of working with large customers in a commercial environment is essential, together with strong contractual management skills. An understanding of Contract Law is desirable but not essential.
