Specialist Young People's Substance Misuse Worker

The role of specialist substance misuse worker is to work with young people up to the age of 18 years, across Hambleton Richmondshire delivering specialist advice information support and counselling to those experiencing problematic drug alcohol misuse. Duties include carrying out comprehensive assessments understanding, assessing and acting upon risk of harm developing, reviewing and implementing care plans. Excellent written and oral communication skills essential to work within the team, and develop and maintain excellent relationships with a range of professionals in statutory and non-statutory settings. Use of car and valid driving licence essential. Enhanced disclosure, employer pays cost. Experience of working with young people essential. Graduate level education and counselling qualification desirable.
