Russian Speaking Automotive Engineer

Working as a Russian language interpreter and translator to support sales, marketing and customer support activities in C.I.S. countries. You will visit customer sites, overseas and in the UK and carry out technical translation and interpretation work in support of our sales, marketing and technical support staff.


The activities undertaken will include:

1. Delivering sales presentations in Russian language.
2. Delivering training to customers from CIS countries in Russian language.
3. Delivering office based support to customers from CIS countries.
4. Translating training materials into Russian.
5. Carrying out technical checking of training materials translated into Russian.
6. Carrying out general customer support and sales/marketing tasks requiring Russian language support.


Responsibilities:

1. Dealing with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
2. Providing sales and technical support on LJ products to customers in the field and by telephone.
3. Ensuring that the tasks undertaken are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
4. Ensuring items that are provided by the company, e.g. mobile phone, laptop, car etc. are used and maintained in accordance with company procedures.


The person carrying out this role must:

1. Be fluent in Russian (Including technical/engineering terminology).
2. Have a high level of IT skills and be educated to degree level or equivalent in electrical/mechanical engineering.
3. Be able to provide accurate written and aural translations from technical English into technical Russian.
4. Be able to provide technical level Russian/English, English/Russian interpretation to support both sales and marketing activities and technical training.
5. Have knowledge of products manufactured/sold by LJ Create (this will be gained from internal training/experience of carrying out the job.)
6. Be of a professional and tidy appearance with a commitment to customer service.
7. Have excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills and possess the ability to communicate well with people at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
8. Be able to respond to customer questions and observations clearly and concisely.
9. Be able to plan/organise activities and have the ability to prioritise own workload without close supervision.
10. Be able to work in a tidy, organised manner with an attention to detail and an ability to work accurately.
11. Be willing to travel extensively overseas and in the UK involving frequent overnight stays.
12. Possess a full, clean UK driving licence.
13. Have enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and work flexibly.
14. Be capable of working effectively as part of a team as well as being able to work on own initiative.
15. Be able to follow formal procedures and work within a structured Quality Management System.
16. Be totally honest and trustworthy.
