Our Client requires a Project Planner / Planning Co-ordinator
Contract type: Interim to 31/12/2013. Full Time. Immediate start.
Hours of work: Full time, 35 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
Location: Peterborough PE1 2AS or Doncaster DN2 4SQ
SALARY: Up to £40000 plus £4915 per annum car allowance
OVERALL PURPOSE:
Responsible for the creation and updating of the resourced loaded project programmes in accordance with our clients procedures and the co-ordination of project management activates as directed by the GN/GE Project Manager’s and the Planning and Logistics’ Manager.
Act as the focal point in the liaison between the Central Planning Group (CPG) and the GN/GE Depot Production staff. Assist with the submission of planning deliverables as required. Responsible for the receipt and distribution of planning documentation issued and the CPG throughout the GN/GE Depot as required.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Ideal Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum ONC/ HND in an appropriate engineering discipline for the rail environment or equivalent rail experience.
- Ideally knowledge of NWR Planning systems and procedures within the rail environment.
- In depth knowledge of Project planning software applications, principally P6/P3 or suretrack, MS Project and knowledge of NWR planning software applications, principally PPS & NROL.
- Extensive knowledge of operational railway and associated Safety Procedures.
- Competent in accordance with the core skills specified in IFS for the job.
