Main Purpose:
Reporting to the Centre Senior Management Team, an Activity Instructor will lead and deliver a variety of over 40 land based activities ranging from Archery to climbing and abseiling. When fully trained the multi-skilled activity instructor will be able to understand the strengths, limitations & personalities of each participant, which in turn will help them to build trust & rapport during the groups stay. They will ensure the safety, welfare of our customers and the efficient delivery of the Travel Class product to all customers. Using high levels of enthusiasm and skills learnt on the comprehensive training course, our instructors will provide groups with an unforgettable stay that exceeds their expectations.

Responsibilities:
• Providing excellent customer service to customers throughout their stay.
• Actively approaching and communicating with all customers, assisting with questions and queries at all times.
• Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all Travel Class and Centre team members.
• Working to strict deadlines and time schedules in the completion of all duties and activity sessions.
• Assisting in arrival and departure of all customers.
• The ability to deliver any land based activity session, where required, including evening entertainments.
• Ensuring high equipment standards are maintained throughout the season, faulty equipment is escalated and/or removed from sessions immediately.
• Deliver any activity session in accordance with the Activity Standards & Procedures Manual (ASAPs), Generic Risk Assessments and Site Risk Assessments.
• Actively promote the company’s Equal Opportunity Policy and Health & Safety Policy ensuring it is being followed in all aspects of Travel Class operations.
• Compliance with the company’s child protection policy at all times.
• Adhering to strict uniform and grooming standards throughout the season.
• Enthusiastically promote the Travel Class product and sale of Travel Class Merchandise, to all customers, whilst on site.
• Carry out work set by the apprenticeship team within the set deadlines.
• Performing team and individual duties to include activity area / room / site work, facility preparation, session development, equipment maintenance and some evening duties.
• Maintaining a safe and a high standard of delivery on all activity sessions.
• Accurate completion of relevant reports as necessary.
• Any other tasks requested by the Travel Class Senior Team onsite deemed relevant to this role.
