Job Scope
To assist in and manage the engineering, manufacture, production, testing and installation of a range of internal and external projects. Ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget and in accordance with the clients’ requirements and the internal Company systems.
Objectives
• To ensure that work is conducted in accordance with both departmental procedures and the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• To provide an effective and efficient service to clients that aims to exceed their expectations wherever possible.
• To maximize the gross margin generated by each project while aiming to reduce costs.
• To minimise the risks to the Company during the execution of all projects.
Job Function
• To assist in the preparation of tender documents and tender summaries.
• To follow the appropriate documentation systems and Quality Assurance Procedures (QAP).
• To evaluate the clients requirements upon project award.
• To prepare and maintain project schedules.
• To liaise with the client during project execution and comply with the applicable reporting requirements.
• Co-ordinate the execution of engineering design work and the preparation and distribution of engineering drawings.
• Initiate the ordering of raw materials.
• Identify which requirements of the project are to be completed by external sources and to award and manage subcontracts accordingly.
• To produce and maintain complete project and associated quality control documentation for clients and third parties at all levels.
• To generate documentation in order to allow internal operations (assembly, testing and installation etc.) to proceed and the co-ordination thereof.
• Identify any product testing required and initiate arrangements for the completion of the work.
• Specify (with customer input as applicable) the packaging and transportation requirements for the shipping of finished products.
• Monitor the expenditure during the execution of the project.
• Archive the project upon completion identifying areas requiring improvement for future reference.
