Our Client requires a Graduate Calibre Engineer for a permanent role based in Sheffield.
Hours of Work: 7:45am – 4:00pm (Full Time)
Contract Type: Permanent

Reporting to: Design Manager
A new position has arisen for a Graduate Calibre Engineer to join the team, to assist with the design and analysis of offshore castings and to be a part of the expanding design facilities.
The main duties of the role will be:
To create 3D models of offshore components
To assist in the analysis and design of cast components, primarily for use in offshore structures
Prepare design reports for submission to the client
Develop conceptual design ideas
Any other duties commensurate with this role.
To be considered for the position, it is essential that candidates have the following:
Qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering
Prior experience/knowledge of 3D modelling
Prior experience/knowledge of FEA
Ability to write technical reports
It is also desirable but not essential that candidates have:
Experience of Pro Mechanica & Pro Engineer
Knowledge of materials / steel
Experience of designing components for use in engineering applications
