Our Client requires a Maintenance Electrician to join the Forge Maintenance team to carry out repairs and planned maintenance on plant equipment based in Sheffield.
Hours of Work, 40 hours p/w, shift work covering 6am -1pm, 1pm – 8pm, 8pm -6am
Day to day operations will cover:
Maintenance of all plant equipment including: DC & AC Cranes, Pumps and Presses etc
Working to PPM systems
New Installations
Working at Height
Working to safe systems of work at all times
The Person
To be considered for the position it is essential that candidates have the following:
Apprentice trained as an electrician
Willing to work shifts and unsociable hours
Should have good knowledge of Electrical Installation and up to date regulations (17th Edition)
Skilled in working with D.C controls
Good fault finding skills on both D.C and A.C controls
Conversant with both predictive and planned maintenance techniques
Skilled in working on overhead cranes
An awareness of Health and safety and the ability to work safely
It is also desirable that candidates have/are:
Previous experience in a heavy engineering environment
Previous experience working in a hot work environment
Knowledge of Inverters and PLC’s
