Job Description: Experienced Gardener/Handyman
Job Details: Gardener/Handyman required for Manor house in Solihull.
The successful candidate will be responsible for general maintenance of the grounds,gardens and buildings. Driving licence essential.
● Ensure that the grounds and garden are kept to a high level of representation. Historic formal gardens, natural stream and pond, extensive hedging and lawns, greenhouses, gravel paths and mixed borders.
● Duties include weeding, planting, pruning, hedge cutting, lawn care and mowing. Keep the site tidy plus snow clearing and salting in winter as and when required.
● A full range of garden equipment provided.
● To liaise with the owner in carrying out improvements to the garden
● To ensure that garden machinery and tools are well maintained.
● We seek applications from experienced gardeners who have sound plant knowledge and are able to work on their own, producing high quality work with attention to detail. A flexible approach to your duties is essential.
Qualifications are not essential but a passion for gardening is vital.
Own transport essential due to the rural location of the estate.
