To be a key member of a team, responsible for conducting independent assessments of modified electrical/electronic systems to enable our customer to approve the system for service use, and develop expert knowledge of the system.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Become a lead technical expert in specific electrical systems co-ordinating work with others across the integrated team, establishing the scope of work required and ensuring delivery
• Conduct electrical system design assessments, agreeing requirements and applying systems engineering principles
• Review technical designs and processes applicable to introducing a new system into service
• Represent the electrical team during technical discussions, interactions and realisation teams
• Act as a key member of a high performing team
• Accountable for delivering project elements to meet time, cost and quality requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop detailed Electrical System knowledge to expert level, to become a recognised subject matter expert in the field, and act as point of contact for others outside of the team. This includes knowledge of the interfaces with other subsystems
• Responsible for preparing high quality technical documents to enable the system to be accepted into service, within the required timeframes
• Act as delegate to the Team Leader when required.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Science/Electrical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
• Membership of a Professional Institution or proven progression towards this
KNOWLEDGE
• Extensive knowledge of Electrical/Electronic Engineering including design, analysis, numerical methods and principles
• Good knowledge of System Design and Integration activities
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering and its practical application
• Basic knowledge of Project/task Management
• Demonstrable history of delivering projects to time and quality requirements
EXPERIENCE
• Experience of design, development and qualification of electrical products
• Experience of the practical application of Systems Design, Systems Integration and Systems Engineering to the delivery of product solutions
• Some experience of project/task management advantageous
