My client is a leading international environmental consultancy with offices throughout the UK and the world, providing support in energy, waste management, sustainability, planning & development, industrial, mining & minerals to private and public sector clients.
The Hertfordshire office is looking to increase its technical capability with discipline leaders in any of the above specialisms. The ideal candidate(s) will be ambitious, motivated individuals who want to rise to the challenge of helping with the growth of this office, whilst developing their respective teams and advancing their own careers in the process.
Given the responsibility for growth and development both of the team and the business, a key requirement for these opportunities is for professionals who have the proven ability, or the clear potential, for business development and the development and management of teams within their specialist consulting field.
Responsibilities
• Develop a new local presence for your specialist technical area; with support from existing teams across the rest of the UK
• Winning/developing new business within their own field of expertise (target 80% chargeable time), as well as project managing delivery of same.
• Recruit and develop a technical team to carry out work won
• Project management of work won outside of own area of expertise
Experience and skills required
• Proven work winning capabilities within a consultancy context
• Technical expertise within a relevant discipline (energy, waste management, sustainability, planning & development, industrial, mining & minerals)
• The ability to lead, motivate and grow a technical team
• Relevant first degree
• Related post-graduate qualification
• Membership/Chartered Status with a relevant professional body/institute
