Lecturer - Computing: Games Development

Uxbridge College is a highly successful Further Education College in West London.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual with experience in the computer gaming industry to deliver courses in video game and interactive media development. You will be required to teach on a variety of courses at HND and BTEC National Diploma level and you will be actively involved in developing new course material for various programming units.

You will possess a degree or equivalent in a Computing subject, with industry experience in gaming including Object Oriented programming (e.g. C++, Java, C#), scripting languages (e.g. JavaScript, ActionScript) and working with games engines such as Unreal and Torque. You should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage young people aged 16-19, and will either possess or be willing to achieve an advanced level teaching qualification.
