Setting up sales, purchase and nominal ledgers and keeping them up to date as required using sage line 50.
Posting sales and purchase invoices, credit notes, generating customers and suppliers monthly statements/reports.
Processing bank payments, receipts and bank reconciliation.
Preparation and submission of VAT return to HMRC.
Maintain filing system and keeping it up to date in alphabetical order.
Maintaining monthly and quarterly journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other control accounts.
Preparation of final trial balance.
A-level, AS level, BTEC or NVQ in maths, finance, accounting, economics, business studies or other related qualification.
Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and Access.
Ability to evaluate, process and reconcile data.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Ability to organise work to meet deadlines.
Ability to deal with dissatisfied customers.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
