Independant Design Engineer/Draughtsman

Have extensive experience working as an independant design engineer in the medium/heavy engineering sectors liaising with both client and end user at a senior level throughout the design process.
Creating and ensuring contractual design procedures are adhered to and all documentation in place to ISO9001 on the administration side,
Hands on approach to the design side, liaison with appointed sub-contractors, design review meetings, checking etc

Again, extensive experience in the design of steelworks equipment, special purpose machinery mechanical design, structures, fabrications and welding, cranes, mechanical handling and suspended and/or telescopic access equipment.

Am a proficient user of AutoCAD 2D, Microsoft Word and Excel and also conversant with ISO9001 documentation systems.
Additionally, familiar with International Building Code, BS449 (structures), FEMA102 (seismic structural design), BS2573 and API 2C(cranes) and traditional stress concentration analysis methods on mechanical components
