I am looking to get back into full time employment after being on an extended career break while bringing up my children. I am currently working 1 day a week on a voluntary basis with the Forerst Recycling Project, based in Bakers Arms, where I am helping out in the finance section, filing, updating client files and small amounts of data inputting onto Excel worksheets. Before that I was on a IAP (intensive activity programme) in conjunction with the New Deal Programme, set up by the Job Centre, which ended on the 22nd July. On this programme I have taken part in a two month placement in a company called Sencia, where I was working as part of a team to process sensitive client information in a confidential manner making sure that all files contained the required paperwork and documentation. I enjoyed this working environment, and would be happy doing this type of work in future employment.
My previous employments have involved working as a receptionist in a customer facing role. I enjoy face to face interaction with new and established clients. I have typing experience with a current speed of 45-50 wpm, and have previously done small amounts of audio work.
I have basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills, and would hope to find a position that would allow me to continue working with and build up more experience in these applications.
I would be available to attend for interview at any time.
I know that I have not worked for some considerable time, and this is proving to be my downfall when trying to secure employment. I just need someone to give me a chance.
If possible my preference for work location would be in the Chingford/Walthamstow/Leyton/Leytonstone areas..
If upon viewing my advertisement, you decide I am not suitable, I would be grateful if you would leave me some feedback on why I wasn't suitable. All comments gratefully received.
