I worked for the same company for 20 years the last 16 years at Director level until I was made redundant at the end of last year. I dealt with all aspects of the Directors which included but was not limited to, sending emails, typing letters, reports, presentation, organising travel, conferences, corporate events, petty cash, looking after his diary and making sure he had everything he needed for his meetings, I also helped with the Surveyors work, typing bills of quantities, minutes of meetings, organising travel and hotels and also general running of the office, making sure the stationary cupboard was kept stocked, organising the alarm system and making sure everyone had fobs and keys, making sure the fire extinguishers were maintained on a regular basis and that pat testing was done on all electrical equipment. I also had 5 admin staff reporting to me, from interviewing to keeping sickness and holiday records and organising any training needed, I organised the cleaners, the security company who dealt with the alarm, the maintenance of all electrical equipment, e.g photocopiers, printers and all kitchen appliances.
